Mizoram showed the highest lifetime risk, nearly double the national average. Oral, lung, and prostate cancers dominated in men, while breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers were most common in women. Rising oral and lung cancers were linked to tobacco and alcohol use. Researchers stressed early detection, awareness, and stronger cancer care facilities. By 2045, India may see 2.46 million cases, amid a global surge to 32.6 million.
