Developed under MeitY’s Special Manpower Development Program (SMDP), the project was led by Dr. Prabir Saha, Dr. Shubhankar Majumdar, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Rathore, and PhD scholars. The Finite State Machine (FSM) chip, fabricated at SCL using 180nm technology, is designed for precision control in irrigation systems and tensiometers, supporting agricultural innovation. Showcased at SEMICON India 2025 before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the achievement reflects the Make in India vision and strengthens India’s self-reliance and technological growth.
