Speaking at an exhibition at Hapania International Fair Ground, he noted Tripura’s leading role in implementing these laws in the Northeast, recognized during a review chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The laws, praised for their citizen-centric approach, include provisions for filing appeals within 30 days, statutory recognition of zero FIRs, and Sections 293 and 479 allowing reduced or adjusted sentences. The exhibition involved police, administration officials, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, students, and the public.
