PM Modi to Launch Projects Valued at ₹1,200 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Manipur on September 13 to inaugurate development projects worth over ₹1,200 crore and lay foundation stones for additional projects valued at ₹7,300 crore. He will inaugurate projects at Kangla in Imphal and lay foundations at Peace Ground in Churachandpur. Ahead of the visit, security has been tightened in both districts, with central and state forces deployed, and advisories issued restricting items like keys, bags, umbrellas, and children under 12. Manipur MP Leishemba Sanajaoba called Modi’s visit “fortunate,” noting it is the first time a PM will engage with locals during challenging times.
