Rijiju Hails PM Modi’s Visit as “Holy Day” for Arunachal, Terms GST Reforms Historic

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s September 22 visit to Arunachal Pradesh as a historic milestone, calling it a “sacred day” coinciding with Navratri. Addressing a public meeting, he praised the launch of new GST reforms from the state, describing them as a “Bachat Utsav” to benefit millions of low-income citizens. Rijiju highlighted Arunachal’s transformation under Modi’s leadership—from lacking airports, railways, and highways 15 years ago to now having modern connectivity, tunnels, and the highest national highway length in the Northeast. He said Modi’s frequent visits accelerate development, with new projects inaugurated during each visit.
