Sikkim CM Inaugurates Youth Hostel with Gym and Renovated Public Ground in Mangan

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated the newly constructed Youth Hostel-cum-Gym and the upgraded Mangan Public Ground on September 24, strengthening sports infrastructure and youth engagement in North Sikkim. The hostel, built on 249 sq. m., accommodates 60 beds with separate facilities for boys and girls, including gym halls, dining hall, kitchen, and instructor rooms. The refurbished public ground, seating 4,000 spectators, meets 11-a-side football standards with modern drainage and approach roads. Tamang encouraged athletes to utilize the facilities fully, emphasizing the government’s commitment to youth development, sports excellence, and fostering a healthier, active society.
