The Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association (CANSSSEA) announced a symbolic protest against the state government’s IAS induction policy for non-SCS officers. Starting September 25, 2025, employees in Kohima will wear black ribbons or badges to express resentment over what they view as disregard for merit-based recruitment, following the government’s screening of non-SCS officers without reinstating the March 10, 2025 Advertisement Circular. The protest, confined to offices, is peaceful, with members urged to maintain discipline and work attendance. CANSSSEA warned the policy may undermine merit-based progression and announced that further protest phases will be guided by its Core and Action Committees.
