At an ICAR–ATARI Zone VI workshop in Guwahati, organized with Central Agricultural University, Imphal, he called for more Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Sikkim to enhance farmer outreach and training. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted natural and organic farming, while MoS Bhagirath Choudhary stressed the role of FPOs and FPCs in improving farmers’ incomes. The workshop reviewed agricultural technologies, OFTs, FLDs, region-specific strategies, and showcased innovations via exhibitions and publications.
