Guwahati Imposes Strict Rules at Zubeen Garg Cremation Site: No Alcohol, Visiting Hours 6 AM–10 PM

The Kamrup Metropolitan District Magistrate, Sumit Sattawan, has issued an order to preserve the sanctity of singer Zubeen Garg’s cremation site at Hatimura, Kamarkuchi, Guwahati. As per the directive, the site will remain open daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, and entry beyond these hours is prohibited. The order strictly bans alcohol consumption, serving, or distribution within or near the premises, as well as entry of anyone under the influence. Implemented immediately, the order assigns enforcement to police and district officials to ensure the site remains respectful and allows fans to pay tribute in a disciplined manner.
