Shillong Hosts Thrilling First Interschool Swimming Championship; Iran Clinches Women’s Tri-Nation Title with 3-0 Win Over Nepal

The first-ever All Shillong Interschool Swimming Championship 2025 started on October 24 at True North Fitness Centre, with 155 swimmers from 25 schools participating in 26 events in five age groups. Day one saw spirited performances by schools such as St Edmund's, St Anthony's, Assam Rifles Public School, among others. Awards were distributed by dignitaries present, namely Kishore Subba and Aubrey Laloo. The Women's Tri-Nation International Football Tournament had Iran beat Nepal 3-0 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with Sara Didar, Zahra Ghanbari, and Shabnam Behesht scoring goals. The title was won by Iran, and the tournament ended on October 27 against India and Nepal.
