Mehli Mistry Ousted from Tata Trusts

Mehli Mistry, a close associate of Ratan Tata, is set to leave Tata Trusts after a majority of trustees voted against his reappointment to the boards of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. Out of six trustees, three opposed his renomination through a circular resolution circulated last week. The dissenting trustees include Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata, Venu Srinivasan of the TVS Group, and former Defence Secretary Vijay Singh. Following this decision, Mistry will step down from the governing boards, marking the exit of one of Ratan Tata’s closest confidants from the trusts.
