HAL Enters MoU with Russia for Production of SJ-100 Civil Jet

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia’s Public Joint Stock Company United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC-UAC) on October 27 in Moscow. The agreement focuses on the production of SJ-100 civil jets, marking a collaboration between HAL and the Russian government-backed aircraft manufacturer. This partnership aims to leverage HAL’s manufacturing capabilities and Russia’s expertise in civil aviation to produce the SJ-100 aircraft. The MoU signifies a strategic step in strengthening India-Russia aerospace cooperation, enhancing domestic production capacities, and potentially contributing to the growth of civil aviation infrastructure and technology in India.
