Tihu Prepares for Grand 73rd Raas Mahotsav Celebrating Cultural Splendour and Honouring Zubeen Garg

Preparations are in full swing for the 73rd Tihu Barowari Raas Mahotsav in Nalbari, Assam, from November 5 to 15, featuring an 11-day cultural and spiritual extravaganza. Highlights include a decoratively illuminated bridge over the Tihu River, a thematic pavilion “Operation Sindoor”, and a tribute to late Zubeen Garg titled “Shorgat Aji Kom Sabha Hoisene” with musical performances. Artisans are crafting clay idols of Lord Krishna depicting scenes from epics and scriptures, supported by an estimated Rs 60 lakh budget. The festival promises thousands of visitors, cultural unity, and performances, reaffirming Tihu as a vibrant spiritual and cultural hub.
