He highlighted Meghalaya’s bioresource potential, noting its turmeric’s 8.9% curcumin content, and urged sustainable farming to protect genetic diversity. The event, hosted in the Northeast for the first time, featured top scientists and dignitaries, including Prof. S.K. Barik and Prof. Anil Tripathi, who announced Meghalaya’s adoption of the CSIR Aroma Mission. The three-day meet includes sessions on plant diversity, biotechnology, and bioeconomy strategies.
