The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has ordered criminal action against media outlets and individuals who exposed the identities of minor sexual abuse victims from Sanggo Residential School in East Siang. The Commission cited violations of the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police have been instructed to file FIRs, remove related content within 24 hours, and hold publishers jointly liable. Social media platforms must block the material.
