Arunachal: SIT Takes Charge of Sainik School Niglok Student Death Case, Three Staff Members Arrested

The Superintendent of Police, Pankaj Lamba, updated on the death of Class 7 student Master Tadu Haro at Sainik School Niglok on November 1. Three staff members—two House Masters and the House Superintendent—were arrested for alleged negligence in hostel supervision and remanded to judicial custody for 14 and 18 days. Police have seized and are examining CCTV footage, portions of which will be shared with the student’s parents. Preliminary review suggests some students may have been involved in ragging. Administrative control of the school is now with the Vice Principal, and the case has been handed to the Crime Branch SIT, Itanagar, for detailed investigation.
