With mid-November marking the start of Assam’s beloved picnic season, people flock outdoors to enjoy the state’s scenic beauty. Among popular spots, Kakochang Waterfall in the Karbi Hills near Bokakhat, straddling Golaghat and Karbi Anglong districts, attracts both domestic and international tourists visiting Kaziranga National Park. Recently, Assam Minister and Bokakhat MLA Atul Bora visited the waterfall, personally navigating the rugged terrain in a Bolero vehicle. His visit highlighted Kakochang’s tourism potential and promoted eco-tourism while preserving Assam’s natural heritage. Bora’s presence also delighted his entourage, offering a shared experience of the waterfall’s serene charm.
