| Updated On: 11-Nov-2025 @ 1:35 pmOn November 10, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the Pesticide Residue Analysis Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Selesih, during its 27th Foundation Day. The laboratory, part of the All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues, aims to ensure safe, chemical-free agricultural produce and promote research in sustainable agriculture. The ceremony was attended by Horticulture Minister C. Lalsawivunga and Agriculture Minister P.C. Vanlalruata. Established in 1997, the college has trained hundreds of graduates, postgraduates, and PhDs. The ₹11.80 crore lab, funded under RKVY, strengthens research and food safety in Mizoram and the Northeast.
