Incidents included timely interventions by Jitendra Kumar, Satyendra Yadav, Sudarshan Hatimura, Lalman, and Vinit Gupta, who stopped trains as elephants crossed tracks in Alipurduar, Tinsukia, and Bokajan–Khotkhoti sections. NFR highlighted that the zone has India’s longest elephant corridors and emphasized its commitment to wildlife safety through measures like intrusion detection systems, elephant underpasses, and enhanced night patrolling. The organization praised staff vigilance for protecting both animals and train passengers.
