Amit Shah Orders Immediate Report on Red Fort Blast Incident

Following the car explosion near Red Fort that killed at least nine people and injured several others, the Centre decided to hand over the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed officials to submit a report promptly and instructed forensic experts to match samples from the bodies with those from the blast site. The decision followed two high-level security review meetings chaired by Shah. The NIA, already working with local police, recovered the Hyundai i-20 and other evidence. Early findings suggest the suspect may have triggered the blast in panic due to ongoing raids by security agencies.
