Five Officials Suspended Over Land Compensation Irregularities on Lada-Sarli Frontier Highway in Arunachal

The Arunachal Pradesh government suspended four senior district officials and recommended the suspension of East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Nigam after a Fact-Finding Committee (FFC) uncovered major irregularities in land compensation for the Lada-Sarli Frontier Highway project. Complaints included incomplete ground surveys, compensation disparities, favoritism, and payment for non-existent assets. The FFC’s interim report confirmed fraudulent assessments, inclusion of fake properties, and serious errors by the district survey team. Officials suspended include Abhinav Kumar, Miram Perme, C.K. Tayum, and Takam Kechak. The FFC has until November 30, 2025, to submit its final report, with strict action promised based on its findings.
