Nagaland Police to Host Inaugural Regional Anti-Narcotics Conference Under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ Mission

Nagaland DGP Rupin Sharma announced that, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau, the state police will host a two-day Regional Anti-Narcotics Task Force Conference on November 13–14 at Chumoukedima, bringing together police from Northeast states and West Bengal to address drug trafficking challenges. Senior central government officials are expected to attend. Sharma also updated on the Nagaland Police recruitment drive, extending the application deadline by 15 days and clarifying the Rs 300 exam fee. He highlighted improvements in the state’s forensic infrastructure, including Dimapur lab capacity, mobile forensic vans, and new scientific officer posts to enhance district-level crime response.
