Organized by the Kamrup District Administration and the Department of Tribal Affairs, the event coincided with the “Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Fortnight” celebrating tribal heritage. Beneficiaries from Garo, Rabha, Bodo, and Karbi communities received legal recognition for lands occupied for generations. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the state’s commitment to permanent tribal land rights, reduced disputes, and ongoing initiatives under the Forest Rights Act and Basundhara scheme, benefiting thousands across Assam.
