Ohtani and Judge became the first duo to win MVPs in the same back-to-back seasons. Judge earned 17 first-place votes for his MLB-leading .331 average, .457 OBP and .688 slugging percentage, while Raleigh claimed 13 votes with 60 homers and 125 RBIs. Ohtani dominated the NL with 55 homers, 146 runs and a 1.014 OPS, plus a solid pitching return. Kyle Schwarber finished second in NL voting, and Jose Ramirez placed third in the AL.
