A new museum in New Raipur, Chhattisgarh, highlights the contributions of tribal freedom fighters often overlooked in India’s Independence history. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial & Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum spans 9.75 acres and features life-sized sculptures, historical documents, weapons, digital exhibits, and films. Built at a cost of ₹53.13 crore, it showcases tribal struggles from 1774–1939 across 16 galleries. The museum includes statues of leaders like Birsa Munda and Veer Narayan Singh, displays PVTG cultures, and narrates key revolutionary events through immersive experiences, local-language videos, and interactive digital platforms.
