Nagaland Completes Scholarship Disbursement for Over 41,000 Tribal Students

Nagaland’s Directorate of Higher Education has completed scholarship disbursement to 41,793 tribal students under the Post-Matric Scholarship scheme for 2024–25. Payments were made in two phases: Rs 3,071.49 lakh to 22,412 students in June, and Rs 2,566.57 lakh to 19,381 students on 11 November, after the Centre released its share of funds. Students yet to receive payments have been advised to ensure Aadhaar linkage for DBT. The scheme, funded in a 90:10 ratio between Centre and state, operates fully through the National Scholarship Portal, ensuring digital verification, transparency, and efficient processing.
