Blast at Police Station in Indian-Administered Kashmir Leaves Nine Dead

At least nine people were killed and 29 injured when confiscated explosives accidentally detonated at a police station in Srinagar’s Nowgam area in Indian-administered Kashmir. Most victims were police and forensic officials examining the explosives. The blast’s intensity scattered body parts over 100–200 metres, and the death toll may rise with several critically injured. Authorities confirmed it was not a terror attack, calling it an unfortunate incident. The explosion occurred days after a deadly car blast in New Delhi linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad and its affiliates.
