Hasina Party Leaders Condemn Death Penalty, Seek India’s Help

After former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina was sentenced to death, exiled Awami League leaders said they can return only if political inclusion is ensured and expect India to continue offering her shelter and protection. Speaking from undisclosed locations, several leaders accused the interim government under Muhammad Yunus of targeting the party with bans, criminal cases, and arrests. They claim the verdict aims to eliminate the Awami League and insist no credible election can occur under Yunus. Leaders like Nahim Razzaq, Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Pankaj Nath said an uprising is imminent and urged India to help prevent instability and support their political struggle.
