Tripura’s Mata Bari Temple, located in Udaipur, is one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas of Northeast India. Dedicated to Goddess Tripura Sundari, the temple was built in 1501 by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya and reflects a unique blend of Bengali and Hindu architectural styles. The central idol, a beautiful black stone image of the goddess, attracts thousands of devotees every year. Mata Bari is also known for its serene Kalyan Sagar Lake, home to sacred turtles. The temple’s rich history, spiritual significance, and vibrant festive celebrations, especially during Diwali, make it a cherished heritage site of Tripura.
